BURNED FRAMES
Fire has been around forever, but using it in a controlled manner to create texture and apply color to wood is rare. I have developed a technique that burns the wood and exposes a very unique texture. Stabilizing burned wood is a messy and time-consuming process.
Looking at burned frames here robs you of the chance to smell the frames for smoke and look for soot residue on your hands. I see this happening often when I exhibit. I can assure you the frames are odor free and the surface is completely sealed.
· Frames are available in standard sizes in easel or hanging styles.
- Burned frames work well with both photos and prints. Black and white and pencil drawings look exceptionally attractive in burned frames.
- Measurements are for the inside cutout.
